"Liquid Soap" your daily dose of HDR

“Easy Rider”  For your daily dose of HDR this capture of a dog that loves to ride motorcycles.  I was on vacation in the Black Hills of South Dakota and came upon a man and woman motorcyclists with their dog.  I forgot his name but I knew for sure I didn’t want to mess with him.

“Shut Off Valve”   For your daily dose of HDR this image of a shut off valve at a old spillway.  The spillway is located in Spearfish Canyon in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.  I applied a Trey Ratcliff filter called Glassen Clean which I just purchased.  I think it renders a cool effect.

“Cliffs of Spearfish Canyon”   For your daily dose of HDR this image of the cliffs of Spearfish Canyon.  I converted this to black and white to give it a more dramatic effect.  Spearfish Canyon is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota not far from the city of Spearfish.

“Scenic Overlook”  For your daily dose of HDR this image from the Needles Highway overlook in the Black Hills State Park, South Dakota.  I converted this to black and white as I like the way it plays on the rocks, trees, and sky.

“EAT ME”  For your daily dose of HDR this skeleton head of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.  This was taken at the Black Hills Institute Museum in Hill City South Dakota.  Nice set of choppers on this critter.

“Lost Highway”   For your daily dose of HDR this last capture from my Black Hills South Dakota series.  The Sturgis Bike Rally was to start just two days after this image was taken and the hills and Spearfish Canyon were alive with bikers.  As I was walking back to my car this motorcyclist passed me and I turned and took the shot.

“Canyon Cliffs”   For you daily dose of HDR this capture of the cliffs of Spearfish canyon South Dakota.  From my Black Hills series, the road winds though and along side these beautiful cliffs.

I decided to do a few in black and white just for fun and effect.

“Rock Dam”    For your daily dose of HDR this image of rock dam on Spearfish Creek.  From my Black Hills Series and located in Spearfish Canyon South Dakota.

“Behind the Dam”  For your daily dose of HDR this image of Spearfish Creek just behind a small dam.  From my Black Hills series, Spearfish creek is just outside of Spearfish South Dakota .

UPDATE: After a photographer friend suggested the image was a bit dark on the left hand side I decided to update the image and follow his lead and lighten it up a tad.

This HDR was processed using multiple filters in Lightroom 4 for this moonlight effect.
